IRSF Observation Report

Weather
Poor weather conditions. Clouds came and go during the night, with some light rain around 11-12pm. We did not observe.

We had a problem with the dome, therefore, we could not start the observations. We took dark images in the afternoon.

Weather
The weather was very good with very low humidity level (30-40%) during the entire night and good seeing. Some clouds appeared on the horizon in the middle of the night, but they interrupted the observations only between 4:15 and 5:05.Once the clouds left around 5am, we restarted our observations and finished around 6:30.

We observed 45 variable YSOs. We repeated some target from the previous night with better seeing condition/further away from the Moon. We took darks in the afternoon, and twilight flats in the beginning of the night.

Weather
The weather was good with clear sky and good seeing (sub-arcsec around 4am). The humidity was slowly rising during the night.

We observed 43 variable YSOs starting at 19:18. A few of them were close to the Moon, which elevated the background levels.

We had some difficulties with opening the cold shutter in the beginning of the night, therefore we missed the twilight and could not take twilight flats. Towards the end of the night (5:40) we slew too low to the west, and it caused an error. We were going to close shortly after this because of the rising humidity. Due to the error, we could not close the lower dome shutter. The problem was fixed during the day.

Weather
Good seeing, 1 to 1.2 arcsec.
Clear weather until 4am when humidity went high.

We observed Eta Car and numerous variable YSOs. Just before the humidity reached 85% we had a glitch with an incorrect target name so we killed messia with CTRL- back slash but when we restarted it it failed to work. We tried killing and restarting GoGoSirius but found we had no control of the telescope or dome. After 2 attempts of a full shutdown and restart, including moving the dome and telescope to park
positions, we were able to restart GoGoSirius and do a Zero Search ok. In the meantime we closed the mirror cover manually since humidity was high. However we were unable to close the lower shutter by any method.

2025/04/15

Weather
Clear until 00.40 when we had to close due to high humidity.It stayed foggy after that. 
Seeing was about 2 arcsec.

We observed Eta Car with the ND5000 filter and then 16 eruptive YSOs.

We had a minor problem with the messia window that shows what is being observed (it disappeared when we accidentally moved it to a different workspace). We had to do a full shutdown and restart to bring it back.

Weather
High humidity from the start of the night. No observing possible,

We opened at sunset but then closed almost immediately.

2025/04/14

Weather
Clear until 11.50, then high humidity and fog.
Seeing was poor initially but improved after a couple of hours to about 1.5 arcsec.

We observed 20 targets (highly variable YSOs) and then closed up when humidity went too high.
